fAutoAimScreenPercentage: set to -180, disables aimbot fAutoAimMaxDistance: increased to 50,000 (700 meters), stops bullet rise I've never seen or heard of bullets actually curving in FO3.Įxactly thank you, most people who are responding to this thread have no clue what im talking about, but you guys do.Īnyone have it installed yet confirm if there's a GECK included? If so, I'll be implementing my fix before I even play for the first time.įor anyone else - one fix I know sets two variables: (i think these are globals)

To me this just sounds like the auto-aim function they put in place for people using controllers instead of mice. There was a mod in fallout 3 that helped but never totally removed it, all they could do was turn it down a lot because the guns were actually not even pointing straight down the crosshair and IIRC vats needed it to function.Īntony Holdsworth Posts: 3387 Joined: Tue 4:50 am I don't want it a mindless shooter or anything just normal bullets spread outside of vats. This is the only thing i want to change about this game. Also if you get a machine gun you can do the same thing and the bullets will actually curve ball to a part of the enemy. Try this grab a laser pistol get a target and shoot over the shoulder of the target and you will see that sometimes the laser will hit the target even while he is not within the "random" zone of a laser's shot spread.

Once I get the GECK handy (and provided someone else hasn't already done so) I'll dissect the FO3 one and see about recreating it for NV.īrad Johnson Posts: 3361 Joined: Thu 7:19 pmĪ lot of people do not know this but the bullets when you shoot out of your gun and not in vats DO dice roll and will hit even if your not aiming close. The only beef I have with the real-time shooting is that the people don't move in a smooth realistic manner all the time (sometimes you get animals that move and insta-stop or change direction completely on the fly or just move in an otherwise non-realistic manner right as you fire off a shot) It doesn't happen THAT often, but still kind of annoying must be a pathing issue they are having as they are coming towards me.ĭisabling auto-aim in FO3 was a trivial mod. The only time I'd use VATS in a different manner is if I had a long range weapon equipped and I engaged the enemy at range first.

You still have to conserve your shots, but I like using real-time shooting and then when the threat gets too close, I'll use VATS for precision shots. It's not overwhelming where you can spew ammo at the enemy. Though I know FO:NV is primarily a RPG, I think the tweaks they made to ironsights gives it JUST the right flavor of FPS for my liking.
